A camera that suddenly goes blurry can make an iPhone feel broken, especially when the preview looks fine one moment and shakes or refuses to focus the next. The cause may be a dirty lens, a case or magnet near the camera, a software problem or physical damage to the camera module.
Start with the simple checks
- Remove a case, lens protector or magnetic accessory that sits near the camera.

Signs of a hardware fault
Persistent blur, a shaking preview, a black camera screen, failed flash or focus that never locks can point to a damaged module or connector.
